Such a beautifully appointed country cottage in a splendid location for (a) a walk around the equally beautiful Lake Albert with it's plentiful bird life, and (b) to break up a trip between Sydney and Melbourne. Lots of thought and care from the hosts, too.

The lake was pretty with a lovely walking path to enjoy.
The lake was pretty with a lovely walking path to enjoy.
Proximity to the RAAF base was our goal and it certainly achieved that with only a 10min journey to the gates.
It was close to access Wagga Wagga for meals out and the stunning light show.
We had Thai delivered from a local Thai restaurant on arrival after our 12hr journey. Meals were authentic and cost was very reasonable.
I would absolutely recommend this location for any RAAF family & visiting travellers

Wagga Wagga was once the Garden City of NSW and it lived up...
Wagga Wagga was once the Garden City of NSW and it lived up to that reputation, it is still a good looking city but it is getting scruffy with litter on the footpaths and some of its outer suburbs are at best third world standard. It does have many outstanding places to visit and is well served with cafe's and restaurants and clubs and hotels.
the only reason we go there is to visit family members.

It’s the first time I’d returned to Wagga Wagga after 37 years, plenty to see and do. Offered a lot more and has grown incredibly in size. Really enjoyed staying at the Lawson, and also really enjoyed the RSL.

Everything was close by.
Everything was close by. There are lots of places to visit in Wagga. I loved visiting Mt Erin and seeing the museum there, as I had a connection with the Presentation Sisters from my childhood. There are lovely walks around the town. It is a vibrant town but with a lovely country feel. I love the wide streets, low rise housing and lack of traffic!!
