The room and facilities were very clean and tidy. The room was equipped with everything we needed to cater for ourselves. The bed was comfortable and we both slept well. We were only there for one night as we were travelling through but could easily stay for a couple more days to explore more of the area. The small dam on the site which had a number of resident birds was great to get some photos of wonderful water birds and some superb wrens. We also walked maybe 500 m past the gate on the park through dingo Cree park to find a number of king parrots as well as pale face lorikeets.

Cute little country town with friendly locals. Some lovely cafes in town, reasonable prices yum food.
The RSL was recommended for dinner. Food was simple, They ran out of some items and steak was pretty tough. But I think they were just new people on the takeover of the food area. Plus it was a busy full house. With over 40 people from the showgrounds down at the RSL as well as locals and a band

A great little friendly Queensland town.
A great little friendly Queensland town. Beautiful surrounding countryside. Lots to see and do. Things like ride or walk the Rail Trail, visit Boat Mountain, or take a leisurely stroll on the Main Street for a coffee and some shopping. Dusty Hill at Moffatdale is a great weekend lunch venue.

Our host Leanne was extremely welcoming and couldn’t do...
Our host Leanne was extremely welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. The house was very clean and all furniture and fittings were in excellent condition. Our only concern was that we only spent 1 night there, we would like to return for a longer stay and explore the property and surrounding areas in greater detail. I managed to take some excellent photos of birds, wildlife and farm animals without leaving the house veranda.

Tranquility, views, spaciousness in king room, comfortable king bed, kitchenette with microwave and good size fridge, ease of booking and subsequent checking in, great nearby walking opportunity up and down quiet country road....all my husband and I needed for a great 2 night stay!

More exploration required as Wondai looks like a wonderful little town with lots to offer. There was a lot of birdie in the park we visited which we got some fantastic photos of king parrots as well as superb fairy wrens

2 musems are a must see.
2 musems are a must see. Wood craft museum (opened 2001) and a general mueum that has heaps on display including preserved old operating theatre from Wondai hospital. This museum has been improving since first being opened 40 years ago. FOOD - must sample battered flathead and garlic prawns at the Wondai hotel .... yum !
