Room 9a was lovely with bed, chair, kettle and bar fridge, tv, table and chairs, cutlery, plates and private bathroom and then had a dining area, microwave and sink outside the door shared with 2 other units (that did not use it). Elevated up one level of stairs and felt safe . Off street parking.

Everything was great. Wished we could have stayed longer.
Everything was great. Wished we could have stayed longer. Hosts were absolutely delightful. Place was beautifully clean Variety of well cared for animals in well maintained surroundings. Not there long enough to use the kayaks but would certainly do so if staying longer and in a warmer season. Also would have loved to have thrown out a crab pot or two.We were well prepared for self catering but be aware no shops in the immediate vicinity. Serene bliss. I hate shops. I would love to add photos but they are all of my grandchildren so I’m not prepared to put them up on social media. Sorry.

Typical sea town with a good choice of restaurants , beaches and cafes. There is koala center and zoo in the area plus the rainforest park (Sea acres) which is easy walk. Nothing spectacular but people are trying to preserve nature. Plus the little gardens (Mrs York’s).

Hotel in great location centre of town. Lovely shops to visit liked
Circle of Friends, great variety of clothes at reasonable prices.
Enjoy driving around the area, pretty spots by the river banks.
Delicious meals at Yummy Thai, very reasonable & fresh food.
Just get there for dinner before 7.30pm to dine in.
Good selection of cafes with excellent coffee.
Loved going to the Billabong Zoo to see the cute koalas up close
and the many different animals in beautiful enclosures. Staff
Friendly & helpful. Worth a visit while in this area.

We booked for 3 days, but only stayed two because I was not sleeping well. Mainly because the weather was hot.
Pool looked very inviting but did not use.
Limited storage for luggage and clothing.
Like Lake Cathie a lot and would like to stay there a a cooler time of year.

Port Macquarie is one of our favourite places to visit.
Port Macquarie is one of our favourite places to visit. It has SO many restaurants and amazing places to eat. The thing that keeps drawing us back is the walking paths that run along the river and beaches. Port Macquarie Council has done an incredible job of making public spaces accessible and so very attractive. The zoo is a great day out and highly recommended, as are the many heritage sites in and around the town. My wife and I also love attending the markets that are held in west port park.

The town has enough shops, supermarkets and banks, even has its own hospital! We ate at the golf country club and the rsl. Both nice venues, food was average, but eatable. Everything was within walking distance, just need to watch out for uneven road and footpath surfaces. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there again though.

If you are looking for an ocean view, fresh air and sunshine this is the place. Staff are friendly and happy to answer questions. The pool was beautiful with plenty of space to sit and take in the view. Our apartment was small but had plenty of room for two.

Kangaroos entertained us at sunrise.
The water park must be awesome for kids in summer.
The Ritchie’s IGA just off the services roundabout at Port Macquarie was fantastic.

Port Macquarie was a stop over between Brisbane and Sydney so the short stay was what we were looking for. We have stayed in Port on many occasions and this town has a variety of good accommodation, good eating places and many great sites to visit.
