We scored a last-minute booking when my MIL had to stay overnight at the Oakey Hospital. The staff at this little highway motel pay great attention to detail - from cleanliness to nicely-kept gardens. The motel is right beside the Rotary Park and from there you can stroll along Oakey Creek. A great motel for an unexpected stopover.
Situated just off the Warrego Highway between Toowoomba and Dalby and nearby a shopping centre, Oakey Motel offers free Wi-Fi and is surrounded by gardens.

Extremely nice and beautiful spot, the cabin we stayed In was homey and comfortable. Followed with a nice fire pit. The hosts Nicola & Luke were kind and helpful. Would recommend to stay here 100%. A perfect couples get away, thank you to the hosts :)

Oakey is an excellent venue for bird enthusiasts, with numerous large parks and creeks in the town with many birds and the surrounding areas as well. It is also well located for a day trip to the Bunya mountains. An excellent RSL in town for meals and drinks, also two bakery cafes.

Kay was a friendly, welcoming host. The 2 bedroom accom. was perfect for our group of 3 with plenty of space and it was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for 2 nights. The continental and cooked breakfasts were great and the location was perfect for visiting family near Meringandan. We would happily stay here again!

It's hard to get about without your own transport.
It's hard to get about without your own transport. I needed to get to the airport, but there was no Uber driver available after more than an hour trying, so eventually called a taxi which had to come from Toowoomba and the fare was $91.00
