Didn’t stay long enough just overnight to explore too much.
Didn’t stay long enough just overnight to explore too much. Went to a couple of cherry farms to pick our own cherries which were just divine. A must to do when visiting Young. They have a cherry festival in December which should be good to see another year. However need to book motels in advance because they fill up very quickly around cherry season time.

I was just passing through and stayed for one night,...
I was just passing through and stayed for one night, basically to sleep before another long drive the following day. My impression of Young was that it is a small and pleasant country town. It must be magnificent when the cherry blossoms are fully blooming. I noted that many domestic gardens had cherry trees. There is a sense of pride in showcasing the best of Young.

Lovely town, the people are friendly and helpful.
Lovely town, the people are friendly and helpful. We eat at the Service club, the meals there vary in quality. The Australia pub food was superb and huge! The little fish and chip shop near the Council Office is well worth the visit, the hamburgers we had were really good! The town has a lovely little fabric shop and the personnel there couldn't be more helpful. All in all a lovely time there for us
