AustraliaWonderful little hotel. We loved our room. It was super comfy. Our room had an updated bathroom, a smart TV (with picture quality that made us realise we should probably replace our own at home). Set back off the main road in Gympie which is now significantly quieter with the Bruce Hwy bypass.( It's also across the road from Alford Park which has a lake with birds and 2.great kids playgrounds, one for littler kids.)
Then hotel has a restaurant on site open most nights 6-8. We had room service, getting two of their pizzas which are 11 inches each and absolutely delicious, with very generous fillings.
Slept like logs, even my 9 year old who is an early riser. We stayed one night only on our way through and would happily stay again for more nights.

Great property for family travelling with ensuite bathrooms.
Great property for family travelling with ensuite bathrooms.
The property is dated but it meats the style of an old Queenslander.
If it was modernised would spoil character.Great wrap round verandah which is gated and can be closed off for young children to safely play.
Plenty of utensils and crockery etc in the kitchen,some older adding to the character
Will be back to explore this property walking opportunities,dam, ,cattle and horse further

We came to Gynpie the night before and the night after...
We came to Gynpie the night before and the night after riding on the Mary Valley Rattler train which was a wonderful thing to do
I did the VIP experience but my husband did the footplate experience where he got to go down in the engine room of the train and he loved it

Simon and Sarah are the most wonderful hosts you could ask...
Simon and Sarah are the most wonderful hosts you could ask for. The farm tour was a big hit with the kids thanks to Simon and Sarahs warming personalities and extensive knowledge of the farm and its animals.
Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Great location, beautiful grounds and a really lovely off...
Great location, beautiful grounds and a really lovely off grid residence. Secluded and settled in a nature setting, it is easy to forget about life for a while. If you do need the world out there, the internet access and mobile communications are top notch. All in all a fun place to stay. Wish we had more time.

A little service town with all you need, IGA, cafe, petrol, butcher and distillery.
Farmers market and a small drive to the popular Eumundi markets- worth a look.
Town is a little Further away from Noosa Heads than we thought with current delays with road works.

Our favourite stay in Australia!
Our favourite stay in Australia! Relaxing was easy with the rhythmic sounds of nature on this large acreage cottage, overlooking an enormous billabong pond. We loved the comfort of the cottage, and my entire family slept soundly leading to a harmonious stay. The Miele dishwasher and water filter exceeded our expectations to make this a perfect stay. They even have a compost bin and lots of green extras making composting easy.

Very quiet, 10 kilometres drive to Imbil a very small pretty town.
Working farm so had to open/ close 2 sets of gates every time to enter/exit. Imbil bakery famous for its vanilla slice, which were delicious. Meals at the hotel were excellent. Could do day trips to many places, Kenilworth,montville,eumundi,Maleny.
If you want a place away from the maddening crowds, but do tripping around it would be a good option.

It depends on what one wants/needs.
It depends on what one wants/needs. It is a very small village with few facilities. If one wants to get away from the rat race, Amamoor and nearby villages (Kandanga, Imbil) provide that possibility. For us, oldies, who have left the overcrowded and noise-polluted world, it is paradise, that is why we chose it.

Step back in time with a Steam Pulled train providing young and old with an exciting glimpse of the past. The restoration of the train and carriages has be phenomenal and the team / volunteers need to be acknowledged for the protecting part of Queensland's Heritage. Depending on your group you have a variety of ticket prices... bring you own food and drink or purchase onboard.

We were delighted with the house!
We were delighted with the house! It is indeed "gorgeous", and was exactly what we wanted for a family get-together. The rooms were very comfortable; the kitchen very well equipped. The large veranda allowed us to enjoy sunshine and shade as required. The pool was only used by one of our party - just so he could say he used it! But that was because we were there in cooler weather. It was nice and clean.
We did have a wrong code for the key box, but the caretaker/manager sorted that out, and even paid us an on-the-spot visit.
There was a problem with the barbecue due to no fault of the owner/caretaker, but it was swiftly sorted.
We weren't there to go "touring", we did visit the village a couple of times which is very nice, and the local IGA had all that we needed for food. We went to Eumundi Markets, which is very crowded. Other than that we enjoyed our leisure at the house.
All of us - 10 folk, from 15 to 80 - loved the house and had a marvellous time. Very grateful and very pleased!!
Note - one bedroom is downstairs, which worked okay for us, but may be a problem for anyone with difficulty handling stairs.
