super quiet location by the river. ideal for morning run and walk around the water. the room is spacious and wifi was good for me work and personal use. i would definitely visit again and stay in the same room. staff at the reception very helpful, i dropped my room key by mistake and they had found them and helped with taxi at the checkout day.

We enjoyed visiting the Sculptures Down the Lachlan - many huge and impressive sculptures. There were also sculptures around town and lovely gardens in the public parks. Forbes has many historic buildings, in good condition. You could go bird spotting, with hides built to give good views of masses of birds on Lake Forbes. We had dinner at Club Forbes, a function one night and the bistro the next. We also did a guided tour of the Aussie Biscuit factory in town, which provides employment for local people with disabilities and makes great biscuits!

Forbes has some lovely historic buildings , well worth a walk around. The Wetlands and bird hides are beautiful, a very picturesque and peaceful spot. The tourist information centre well worth the visit to see what else is in and around the town ( biscuit factory tours, sculptures by the Lachlan river etc). We really enjoyed our stopever here

They never spoke a word to us not once they never gave us...
They never spoke a word to us not once they never gave us toilet paper nor did they give us towels at the least customer service is a big thing you always offer people something but they spoke a word they never even said hello to us as we walked pass them numerous times throughout the day very poor customer service
