Only moments after checking in, I was swimming in the Murray River.
Located literally on the banks of the Murray River, this tastefully renovated motel is my favourite place to stay in NSW, ACT & VIC.
I am a travelling salesman and stay at many hotels and motels. I have never felt the need to leave a review, however this motel deserves patronage and recognition.
From the minimalist architecture, spacious room, private balcony overlooking the river...what was not to love....The motel is under renovation and I look forward to my next stay and seeing this hidden gem reach it's potential.

Sitting on the verandah watching the Murray River slowly...
Sitting on the verandah watching the Murray River slowly flow past was the respite I needed.
Riverside is a great peaceful and picturesque location.
Our room was well equipped, and the bathroom was clean and modern.
We were busy all weekend with a wedding across the river in Corowa, but Sunday afternoon, with all duties and celebrations concluded, we could relax and enjoy this lovely location.
I am keen to return for an extended stay, as there is so much to explore and enjoy around here

Rutherglen is an interesting small town in the north east of Victoria and vineyard country. Many old and well maintained houses and commercial buildings. A pleasant main street with interesting shops and good coffee. A walking scale town and a great stop-over between Canberra and Melbourne, especially if you are not in a hurry and like to drive off the main roads.

Corowa is the birth place of Federation, Has a Whisky & Chocolate factory as well as being in close vicinity to the Rutherglen Winery District. The town is blessed with historic buildings and situated on the Murray River.

A real find!
A real find! Enjoyable walks along the banks of the Murray River and delicious meals at the local Fish cafe. Everyone was very friendly and happy to chat. A small town that gave us a memorable experience. Riverside motel has an extensive grassed area beside the river with cooking bays and table/ chair sets. The view from our room was very peaceful. Beautiful sleepy town.
Beautiful sleepy town. Only two pubs and a club open (public holiday long weekend). The Australian history was fascinating about the federation. Clean and easy walking into town, one very long Main Street. Must come back in the daytime to visit local shops.

Ver close to Rutherglen wineries. Not too much by way of eateries after hours but the Pub does great food and Corowa, just over the river in NSW, has a few more options. Plenty of lunchtime places to eat and would highly recommend Parker Pies in Rutherglen.
