Wonderful little motel with only a few rooms, parking directly infront of your room. Very near to Ararat train station. Very central. The lady that runs it is absolutely lovely and welcoming.

In terms of value for money, it's worth every dollar. The rooms are clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the cabin is large and spacious and each cabin has the privacy you need. I stopped in Park for one day on a trip and it was lovely. I will definitely come back to the place on my next trip.

The property was beautiful, well maintained and well presented.
The owner arranged everything at very short notice late at night as many of the family members had travelled from various locations within both Victoria and NSW.
Nothing was any trouble and the owners communication was prompt, polite and very compassionate towards our circumstances.
This morning I met the cleaning staff and again nothing was any trouble and they were very polite, considerate and compassionate towards me in relation to our circumstances.

I thought the rooms where clean and comfortable. I arrived at 3.30 a m. The owner allowed an extra 30 mins. sleep in. i.e. 10:30 a.m checkout. Much appreciated. The owner is very polite and friendly. Will definitely come back in the future Thank-you!

Appreciated the historical buildings, lovely gardens and friendly residents.
Loved the Gum San Chinese Heritage Museum - interesting historical information and well-laid out collections that gave us valuable insight into the origins of Ararat. We deliberately stayed in Ararat to visit Gum San. The staff on duty, Mary and Duan, were knowledgeable and helpful.
Enjoyed our stay at Acacia Caravan Park - loved the joyful Christmas display in the front office garden. Cabin was clean, comfortable and had a well-appointed kitchen-just right for 5 people.

This is the second time my son and his support workers have stayed there and clearly they loved it . Nicole is awesome to deal with , she is courteous, kind and very quickly responsive.
Thanks again for a peaceful and restful stay and for making sure the guys are comfortable and happy .
The guys enjoyed eating out in the town of Arrarat and the local bar , they also enjoyed visiting a local winery and watching the local footy game and of course my sons favourite place the historical society.

Due to recent fires, Mt Cole walks were closed.
Due to recent fires, Mt Cole walks were closed. However there was plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. Lovely little country towns such as Avoca and Dunolly are within an hour drive. Also close by is Ararat with lots to do and every thing you may need (groceries, fast food, pubs, coffee shops).

This really is a beautiful place with wonderful surroundings and, of course, excellent local wines to taste. It is cosy with wood heater and aircon. It has a well stocked kitchen including coffee machine, generous living room and bedroom/ bathroom. The verandah allows for outside dining complete with Weber Bar-b-q. The winery (Mountainside Wines) is next door offering tastings and purchases.
For some, the lack of tv and wifi might be a step to far. For others it is part of the attraction. In any case you are only 20km from Ararat.

Ararat is a lovely town in itself and has everything you need, town hall, art gallery, many shops, antiques, eating places, gift shops, swimming pool, indoor and out, recreation, park, drives up to Halls Gap and tourist attractions areas.
Didn't like the mess and Barracks much, it was cheap and very pub style.
