So I stayed a week and it was great. I had a desk on a breezy balcony where I could do my reading and writing, and look out on the river and see the boats going up and down. At sunset I would go down to the pier and photograph the action. (I'm sure others would ride the free bikes on tours of the beautiful green island, but I didn't do that.) There is a fine Thai restaurant two steps down the pier. I don't eat breakfast, but the staff brought coffee to my room every morning. They also arranged for a lamp on the balcony so I could read and write at night. My stay was extremely relaxing, which is just what I wanted. All the usual amenities are fine: Aircon is fine, hot water is fine (with pressure), there is a fridge, mattress was fine, there are enough plugs, etc., etc.
