Additionally you are in a great spot for day trips, like glasriket, elk park, and Kalmar.

Hotell Fängelset Västervik is a converted prison built in the late 1800s and is located right next to Västervik Station. Some of the rooms are refurbished prison cells. This historically themed hotel is both nicely decorated, according to the former function of the building as a prison and clean - sustainable. The staff is friendly and really keen on informing their guests of their hotel's past. The breakfast was tasty and with a large variety of fresh food. The boutique they maintain in the reception hall is offering interesting niche products at a good price. Another unique aspect of this hotel was the small exhibition room that shows how a prisoner's cell looked like in the past. The location is also one of the advantages that this hotel offers, because it is close to all the points of interest for culture, shopping and food.

This eco-friendly hotel, about 400 metres from Västervik Central Station, is located on the waterfront. We really found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful and most especially Isabella and Helena. They were both wonderful and made our stay even better.

Very tasty and variated breakfast, the beds are extremely soft and comfortable, it’s not the first time we stayed at this hotel, we always return here with pleasure💕

Housed in an old harbour warehouse, the Home Hotel Packhuset boasts spectacular views of the Kalmar Sound and the Öland Bridge. Some rooms feature exposed wooden beams, timber walls and free WiFi. Our stay included a buffet dinner, which was surprisingly good. Breakfast was good too. Convenient location to see the castle, cathedral, and old town. Room was nice. Elevator was helpful.

It offers rooms with a flat-screen TV and free WiFi. breakfast was great , location was great , excellent view from my room . staff was really kind and had an answer to all my question and a solution for all my requests . I strongly suggest all of you to try this place !

Situated in Nybro, 49 km from Kalmar Central Station, Orrefors Vandrarhem features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Super friendly host with great recommendations. The movie night was really fun.
