Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. Whioe experience is amazing. The facilities are wonderful, very tidy and clean. We visited the spice garden. The staff is incredible. They organized the safari for us, with pickup and dropoff at their hotel. The food is the best we tasted in Sri Lanka. They impressed us with buffalo yogurt and honey for dessert. For finish, they provided us the taxi to our next destination. Highly recommend them.

We stayed in a *Deluxe Double Room with breathtaking lake views* and woke up to peacocks dancing on the lawn. The staff, ***especially Anne (owner) and Amal, were exceptional,they arranged a safari to Yala Block 6 (just 10 mins away!) where we spotted elephants and leopards. The **food was a highlight**: authentic Sri Lankan curries and Western options, all served in an open-air dining area. Don’t miss the **sunset boat ride on the lake**—pure magic! Clean, spacious rooms and a serene pool sealed our perfect stay. We’ll be back!"

The property is in a quiet location with a peaceful garden setting. The staff we re increadibly helpful and polite. They organised for us to feed the bambi that live on the property, took us on a local tour of the lake, showing us the native birds, crocodiles and bats, plus they organised our safari to Yala and taxi to Tangalle. The safari itself was incredible, our driver clearly had a good eye and could spot a camaflaged chameleon at a distance!

The owners were amazing, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. They served various dishes of local food, but if you like other food, they can provide it too. They are happy to lend you other stuff, such as their bike to ride around, if available. They are also happy to take you on adventure journeys such as going to the jungle farm, having you participated in activities and a walk in the jungle for free. The environment around the rooms was so calm and there was a lot of nature around. Lots of tropical trees and birds. There was a nice lake at the property. There were lots of aquatic wildlife around it. If you are a nature lover, this is the place to stay. The place is close to “Yala national park” and you can get in the safari vehicle at the hotel itself so that you don’t have to take a separate ride to the park.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. Best place where to stay in Tissamaharama. The host made us a wonderful breakfast and lunch after the safari, they have a beautiful garden where you can rest and some hammocks. A lovely guesthouse, very clean with everything you need to feel at home. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel is located only 10 minutes walking distance from the town centre, but very quiet place, view to the rice fields from the terrace. Very friendly people, I felt like a family member. They organised everything for me, very good safari, private transport, good advice to visit around Tissamaharama. I recommend to everybody.
