The property is immaculate and well designed. It was our best Guest house after 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff are welcoming and engaging, the rooms were spotless and spacious with a comfortable bed. The restaurant buffet was fantastic and great value. It has a beautiful swimming pool and is indeed surrounded by nature with bush at your back door . It is in an excellent location. We could not fault this property. It really is a 10 out of 10 and we strongly recommend.

The place is pure magic. The cabins are very nice and comfortable, and it is the ideal place to stay when visiting Udawalawe. The dinner and the breakfast were absolutely amazing. A special thank you to all the staff, who were so nice and friendly and helped arrange transfers to the property, the safari (which was amazing) as well as the delicious meals in the property!

Boasting a spa and wellness centre and views of garden, Hasthi Safari Cottage is a recently renovated guest house set in Udawalawe, 16 km from Udawalawe National Park. We had a fantastic stay at Hasthi Cottage! Dasun, his family, and the entire staff made us feel like part of their family with their warm hospitality and ever-smiling faces. The food was delicious, especially the chicken curry made from Dasun’s wife’s special recipe. Dasun also helped us arrange taxis at the same rates as the PickMe app, making transportation hassle-free. We booked the elephant safari through them as well and had a wonderful experience—our guide, Ishank, was incredibly humble and knowledgeable. Overall, the service here was among the best we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

With river views, Silent River Cottage is set in Udawalawe and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. It is situated 16 km from Udawalawe National Park and features room service. Friendly couple welcomed us with a delicious welcome drink. We felt at home right away. The room had a mosquito net and quiet AC. We had to leave early and they were so kind to provide breakfast packages. It was great. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Ibis is located in Udawalawe and features a pool with a view and garden views. A super friendly and helpful host, who made us really welcome. The pool was a great bonus - just what we needed after a long days travel. Room was very large, very comfortable and had great facilities. We even had our evening meal here at a reasonable cost. Very good accommodation - would definitely stay again if I was in the area. They do their own safari tours but we had already booked one with a different company prior to arrival, so didn't get the chance to go with them.

50 km from Tangalle Lagoon, Atha Safari Resort is a recently renovated property set in Udawalawe and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Beautiful and clean property. Felt like home. He organized the safari, the driver was a great guide. Lots of animals to see and lots of elephants. The owner is very kind. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for a few days getaway

Located in Udawalawe, 50 km from Tangalle Lagoon, Riverside Bird Paradise provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We did the safari at the hotel and it was amazing. Our driver was very good and we saw a lot of elephants up close. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Near a beautiful river, designed with the environment in mind. Highly recommended for a few days stay.

We arrived in the evening at this corner of paradise. We had a huge room, and there were only two of us. Even though they asked us if we wanted dinner during the afternoon, and we said no, when we arrived, we asked if we could eat, and they served us a wonderful dinner. The food was plentiful and truly excellent. The place is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature. The family who hosted us was very helpful. If we were to return to this area, we would definitely stay here again.
