Pre-Arrival & Check-in: The host helped arrange our airport transfer and transportation for two days of excursions, making our trip hassle-free from the start. Accommodation & Facilities: Our room was excellent—sparkling clean, well-maintained, and equipped with both AC and a fan, an attached bathroom, and all the basic amenities we needed. Accessibility was a plus, with an elevator available to reach our floor. Location & Surroundings: Rajhat Marano House is located in a peaceful neighborhood, yet it is conveniently close to everything. The Maha Bodhi Temple is less than 200m away (a 5-minute walk via the Bodhgaya Gov Hospital shortcut, accessible from 5 AM to 9 PM). Plenty of eateries—including cafes, food stalls, restaurants, and bakeries—are within the same walking distance, making it easy to explore the locals. Hospitality: The host was incredibly attentive and helpful with all our requests, making us feel right at home. What made our stay even more special was the host’s warm accommodation of our interest in local delicacies, which led us to privately name our favorite food gathering spot as “Osama Kitchen.” The highlight of every meal? A humble yet comforting cup of chai, never failing to delight us! Overall, Rajhat Marano House provided a wonderful stay with top-notch hospitality, great location, and excellent accommodations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bodhgaya!

The room was clean and comfortable for a budget option. The staff were all very kind and super helpful. Anuj spent hours one night trying to book us train tickets, and didn’t charge any commission. They run a not-for-profit school for disadvantaged youth, of which they are more than happy to give you a tour. And they will make a home cooked breakfast or dinner for you with advanced notice.

The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym had everything I needed and the food in its restaurant was also very delicious. Compared to other hotels in India this hotel was also very cheap for what it offered.
