I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Santika Premiere Palembang, and it exceeded my expectations. The moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that provide a comfortable atmosphere. The on-site restaurant offers a delightful array of local and international cuisine, and the breakfast buffet is a standout, featuring fresh and varied options. Hotel Deli River is located in Medan City, surrounded by tropical greenery and natural landscapes. Overlooking the Sumatran Jungle, it offers free Wi-Fi access. Just a lovely place to stay. Staff were extremely helpful, food was excellent and the gardens are magnificent.

Grand City Hall Hotel & Serviced Residences is situated in the heart of Medan. It is next door to the Bank Indonesia Complex. Facilities and room very nice, breakfast really good. Perfect location.

Stayed for 3 nights, went on a multi day trek and then returned for one more night. My return felt like coming home. Yusuf and his family are very warm and welcoming, and will go above and beyond to make you comfortable. Organising the trekking and onward travel with Yusuf was super easy and very well organised. He also has a school for underprivileged children, which I went to visit and helped to teach English and played badminton with them. The girls also practise traditional dancing in the Warung connected to the guesthouse (which serves really cheap and tasty local food), so by staying here you will experience more than just the jungle, but also get an insight into the local community. A great experience that I’ll never forget. Thank you Yusuf and family!

It was a nice mix of traditional and modern. It's located right at the exit of Sorake surf spot, so it's a great spot for surfing. There's a terrace in front of each room, so you can sit, relax, and watch the surfers. Next door to the Dolin Cottage is a restaurant called 'BEOS PUB', where almost everything is generally good. I highly recommend the seafood pasta.

Nice hotel close to the airport, a 5-10 minute drive away. We stayed there twice at the beginning and end of our trip. We had good dinners and breakfasts. Very helpful staff. The room was clean, quiet and we loved watching TV in English. Shuttle service was splendid (there are set hours but the staff accommodated us) so arrange pick up and drop off in advance. We would definitely stay there again.
