Set amid the wonderful Alpine landscapes of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, this traditional 4-star hotel offers elegant rooms and excellent spa facilities. The location is perfect--close to the train station, close to a nice walking area of town, but also close enough to jump on the freeway to go south to Innsbruck or north to Ettal or Oberammergau. It's so quiet at night, I didn't need earplugs (and I'm a sensitive sleeper)! The bathroom has all necessary amenities, and the minibar beverages were complimentary as well which was a beautiful touch. The spa services are wonderful, the restaurant was wonderful--honestly, going half board here was the best decision I've ever made because the four course dinners were heavenly. The underground parking gave me true peace of mind as well. The bed was also an awesome size for a solo traveler - bigger than a normal single for sure!

The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cosy lounge. Great staff in the hotel, restaurant, and spa. The family suite was very quiet. The food in the restaurant was great. Jesica from the Spa delivered a great massage. Front desk staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable about the tourist spots around Garmish. The hotel is dog friendly. We had a great time!

Featuring mountain views, Appartement Pension Strolz features accommodation with free bikes, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 7.7 km from Train Station Lermoos. It might seem that I exaggerate, but we really had the time of our lives!! Thanks to the hotel, Simon, and the beautiful area. Me (27M) and my girlfriend(23F) could not have found a better place. We were well prepared (or so we thought) and knew exactly what to do, where and when, until we met Simon. He was super friendly and helped us refine our activities with secret local spots and choosing the right day for each activity. For my girlfriend and me this was perfect. (Even if you are not so well prepared Simon will point you towards all the gems exactly tailored to your wishes.) The appartment itself is super clean and recently renovated (while keeping the rustic alpine style). We loved the cozy wooden interior and the bed was very comfortable (including the pillows!!). I almost forgot the great view, see the photo. The location directly at the Fernpass road B179, was ideal for us. We had many things planned such as Zugspitze, Neuschwannstein, Drachensee, Partnachklamm, Breitachklamm and canyoning, which were all within 1h driving (many even much less). This was ideal for us and made a super action packed, beautiful vacation possible for us. Last but not least Simon made a custom mountainbike loop exactly to my wishes, which was one of the coolest (and hardest, cardio wise) experiences I have had in a while, completely for free. He has an amazing collection of bikes which you can borrow for free. With that I would like to conclude that I can only very much recommend staying here. Best wishes, R & E

I am a keen walker and the property gives me great access to so many hiking options both in Thw local area and Austria.

Haus Alpenblume, a property with a garden, is set in Ehrwald, 5.3 km from Train Station Lermoos, 11 km from Fernpass, as well as 23 km from Museum Aschenbrenner. Location was great, hosts were friendly. We loved the large upstairs apartment. The host did our laundry for a very reasonable price. I would love to come back in the winter to ski!
