To be honest this was a bit of a surprise. It was our last stop before we headed to the airport after two weeks in Portugal so we hadn't given it a lot of attention. We were blown away by this beautiful, unique gem of a place and we would love to go back soon. The host and hostess were - rightly - proud and passionate about the wonderful environment that they have created and welcomed us with great warmth. I've stayed at some of the top hotels in the world but I would say that the breakfast that they served was on a par if not better than the ones I've had at those places

It was the best hotel experience I have ever had! The room was modern and stylish, our windows looked at the farm, and we could see the donkeys from our place. The hotel exceeded our expectations: we had a more comfortable room than we ordered and a lavish bath! The hotel is dog friendly: dogs can come to the main building, walk the whole territory, lay over the tables during breakfast, and so on. It was amazing! The hotel owner (Pedro) invited us to have a dinner cooked by an ex-Michelin chef, and it was the best dinner I had had in Portugal! It was delicious! I'm more than 100% sure that we will come to this place many times in the future

The location of the house is absolutely stunning. It used to be the villa of the famous Portuguese singer Amalia Rodrigues, which makes it even more special. António, who looks after the property, is an incredibly kind and open-hearted person. I highly recommend ordering dinners on-site — the food is prepared with fresh local ingredients and tastes amazing. The private beach is huge, and the sunset views are simply breathtaking. What could be better?
