The host went above and beyond to insure that we were extremely happy with the choice of room. We went to celebrate a birthday and she went the extra mile to make it special for him. I was overwhelmed with the beauty of the room, the house and property. Helena is an artist with exquisite taste and you can see that reflected in everything she does. She is kind, warm and generous. The breakfast feast is amazing. So many choices even for us vegetarians. The shower was lovely, incredibly hot. The bed was so comfortable and extra large, the biggest bed I've ever seen. Our dogs were kindly welcomed and they enjoyed their vacation. The views on the property will take your breath away. We will definitely be back soon!

Perfect newly restored hotel. Impossible to fault room, hotel or staff. Excellent breakfast. Also, the normal parking problems of Castello de Vide as there is a car park behind the hotel which always had spaces.

I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Amarela in Castelo de Vide! Everything was just perfect – from the charming decor that beautifully brings the past to life, to the cozy and comfortable room with a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed – their warmth made me feel right at home. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, full of delicious local products that gave me a real taste of the region. I truly loved every moment and would wholeheartedly recommend Casa Amarela to anyone visiting the area. I definitely hope to return one day!

Room looked even better than at the photo. It was clean and comfortable. No problem with parking. Also the host was friendly and ready to help with anything. Helped with heavy luggage - thank you. It is worth staying at least one night here to see the sunset or the sunrise in Marvão. Breathtaking!

We stayed at Quinta d'Abegoa's apartment, Casa do Souto, which is very cosy and ideal for two people. Everything is really well thought out so the apartment felt bigger than it actually was. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The outside space is beautiful - we loved sitting out, listening to the birds and the bells from the sheep, while enjoying the views of the both the castle and over towards the mountains and Spain. We made the most of being able to walk to restaurants in Marvao (although it is uphill all the way!) but we also cooked at the property - the kitchen is tiny but is very well-equipped and has everything you need to self-cater. Our host, Rosa, looked after us extremely well, bringing us breakfast every day, and nothing was too much trouble. We love the area around Marvao and will definitely return for another stay at Casa do Souto.
