We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Our room was lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They assisted us with booking wine tours and even helped resolve an issue with our rental car since we don't speak Portuguese. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious. While the location is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of city nightlife, it's the perfect place to relax by the pool, enjoy a drink, and soak up the sun.

Property right in river with spectacular views. We did not use pool but it was very inviting and pool area and sun deck with chaises. Entire property immaculate. Lift. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with scrambled eggs also offered. Breakfast room is lovely and guests had option of breakfast on patio overlooking the river. Hosts wonderful. Walked along river after breakfast, so peaceful. Restaurants within short walk. Right across from the Tua train station- this would be the best way to get to location. Driving takes a little while due to topography although the drive was very scenic.

We stayed in one of the villas with our kids and it was an amazing experience. The children loved the lawn area and the kids’ pool, while we enjoyed a glass of wine from the reception’s cellar at sunset. Dinner was delicious, everything delivered with great attention to detail. At night, walking around and seeing the illuminated shutters was magical — each one tells a different story.

Wonderful house in a wonderful setting location. If planning to stay and sample wines, go bring your dinner and use kitchen as there is nothing within walking distance. The little township on top of hill 5 minutes away by car has very limited food.
