We had such an amazing stay! The room was modern and had everything we needed, also breakfast was great. It is quiet, but near the beach and restaurants. The owner was so nice and helpful, who went the extra mile for a perfect stay.

We felt like it was a private villa, there’s no crowd on the beach. The staff was excellent and very helpful! The food was great as well. They provided unlimited water. You can also join the fishermen at the beach supporting them to pull the net from the ocean, they are very grateful in return 😉

We loved our time here! My brother and I stayed here for two nights. All of the food was amazing, we chose to eat dinner there as well. The hosts catch the fish themselves. Very clean and comfortable, and good wifi. The best thing was the host family. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. They were able to help us arrange transportation to Udawala. We highly recommend staying here for an authentic and peaceful experience.

🌴 A Truly Unforgettable Stay! 🌅 I stayed at this beautiful villa with my family, and it was simply amazing from the moment we arrived! The villa itself was so peaceful and spacious,The atmosphere was calm, private, and perfect for a family getaway. The owner was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home — always ready to help with a warm smile. The location was also perfect — just 5 minutes away from the beach! Every evening, we walked there to watch the stunning sunset and even saw sea turtles, which was such a magical experience for all of us. 🌅🐢 The whole stay felt like a dream — full of relaxation, happiness, and unforgettable memories with my loved ones. We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for turtle watching, just a short walk from the beach. Our daughter loved the front yard, and the outdoor shower was a great. The Sri Lankan breakfast was absolutely delicious—one of the best we’ve had! But what made our stay truly special was Ruchira, the host. He went above and beyond to organize our turtle-watching experience, as well as safaris in Udawalawe and Yala. His recommendations on things to do in the area were spot on! Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area. We’d love to come back!

The service at this hotel was absolutely exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, offering a level of comfort that far exceeded our expectations. The room and the hotel were outstanding, blending a charming colonial vibe with beautifully designed interiors. The lush garden, infinite pool, and direct access to the ocean added an extra layer of luxury to the experience. Everything was spotless, with our room cleaned twice daily, and the addition of aroma candles not only kept insects away but also enhanced the atmosphere. The location was fantastic—just a short walk to the city and the main beach, with other beaches and activities easily accessible by a quick Tuk Tuk ride. The breakfast was delicious, but what stood out most were the refreshing drinks, including fresh juices and smoothies, which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay.

My review is based on just one day of stay and everything we had the chance to experience. During our journey of discovering Sri Lanka, I had to choose a hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday, and Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort exceeded all my expectations. A special thank you to the wonderful team, and especially to our host Imalka, who went above and beyond to prepare a surprise for my wife – all improvised on the same day. The resort is truly paradise, fully living up to its five-star status, from check-in to check-out, with excellent facilities. The room is spacious, clean, and elegant, surrounded by gardens and offering stunning sea views. The pool is fantastic, with plenty of space to relax. The beach is peaceful and perfect for relaxing, although the sea can be quite rough. However, this is not a problem, as there is a nearby beach where swimming is safer. That beach is also charming, with seaside bars and restaurants. The bar at the Il Mare restaurant offers a happy hour with great drinks, breathtaking views, and a stunning sunset. Dinner at Journeys was the cherry on top – a warm ambiance and exquisitely prepared cuisine. Breakfast was also exceptional. Even though I am familiar with the Anantara brand and have stayed at several of their resorts worldwide, Tangalle Resort managed to surprise us. We even considered staying an extra night, but that would have disrupted our travel plans in Sri Lanka. Without a doubt, this is a hotel to return to for a longer stay. Thank you to the staff, Imalka, and Anantara!

Saman was a great host and made our stay perfect. He took us to the beach at night and found a green turtle laying her eggs. We stayed until the turtle returned to the sea. It was such a special experience. Saman shared so much of his knowledge with us. Our breakfast was great and we loved eating helapa for the first time. It was delicious. Thanks Saman for looking after us so well.
