Where to start... My partner and I spent five nights at this hotel with this lovely family. The accommodation is extremely well located. A stone's throw from the main street, restaurants, the beach and the Hiriketiya surf spot. We could stop there and it would already be worth it. The room is not a 5-star one, but you go there knowing that. In terms of price, I don't think you'll find better anywhere else. For our part, the room was clean and functional, no complaints there. The included breakfast was delicious and always well served, a great way to start the day. We did our laundry on site and once again, it came back spotless. The street isn't always the quietest, we had a few dogs barking, but as everywhere in Sri Lanka, unfortunately there's not much you can do about that. But we really fell in love with the family, who were exceptionally kind and helpful. During those five days, we felt right at home. Thank you for your smiles and kindness, which touched us deeply and made this part of our trip even more beautiful (aside from the little paradise that is Hiriketiya). We can't wait to come back. See you soon!

A stunning property with probably the most picturesque beach in the country. The staff went above and beyond to assist with anything we needed, and every single one of them were the epitome of class and kindness. Special shout out to Malith in the restaurant area who was a true professional and a very nice guy. The rooms were spotless and clean, the food was great, and the pools beautiful, but again the real highlight was the staff. A very special and lovely team.

We have stayed in many beautiful hotels around the world, but I think “the last house”, is probably my favourite of all time. Firstly, the property is incredibly beautiful. The gardens are well manicured, and the house is in wonderful condition. You fee as though you are lucky enough to be staying in someone’s beautiful home, instead of a hotel. The manager and staff were so lovely, and we really enjoyed our chats with them. Breakfast was lovely, as was dinner. The beach front location is perfection, as is the beautiful pool. We stayed in the cinnamon hill suite, which has the large bedroom, bathroom and the ocean views from the balcony, which i’d highly recommend booking. We will definitely be returning on our next holiday in Sri Lanka.
