With the four of us we had a wonderful stay. The house is clean, spacious, nice beds and above all a nice garden with a beautiful veranda with an excellent view, enough shadow and sunlight. The jacuzzi is amazing: with a view on the lake and the stars at night it’s very romantic. The swimming pool is nice with lots of space in the surrounding garden. About the house: enough storage space in the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom (I love that!). To lake Como it’s a nice ten minute walk through the small and winding streets of Lenno. Lenno itself is friendly and beautiful with nice options for excellent Italian food. From the house it is easy to find a few good hiking tracks up to the mountains and a church (unesco world heritage site). Well, we loved it and definitely want to come back.

Location: Excellent with a ferry drop off/pickup 40 meters away. Breakfast: Was amazing every morning, anything one might want!. Bedding: Was as close to silk smooth as possible. Towels were as soft as brand new ones. Staff: Taxi did not show up when departing, so the staff took me to a ferry going directly to the train station! Also had a great evening dinner in the restaurant.

We enjoyed our fantastic breakfast on the terrace with Lake Como in the background. The breakfast was absolutely great with home baked cakes and bread. Special thanks to Luigi for the freshly prepared scrambled eggs! The cappuccino was extremely tasty, too.

La Darsena is a hotel & restaurant along the road on the western side of Lake Como. It is very well situated because it has amazing views of the lake. It is a simple hotel but very comfortable and the staff were all friendly. The restaurant is a gastronomic restaurant with absolutely delicious food - their unique and different take on the tiramisu is highly-recommended, among others. They also have an excellent wine list with decent prices (I recommend the Valpolicella and Lugana DOC Vigneto Massoni). This hotel is near Tremezzo, where you can take a smaller ferry to Bellagio, but you can also walk a bit further to Cadenabbia (about 15-20min) to take the other more frequent ferry. It takes about 15min on the ferry from Cadenabbia to Bellagio. It is easy to have this hotel as a base and do a day trip to Bellagio rather than stay in often-crowded Bellagio. We will definitely stay here again!
