We stayed for two nights and had a great experience. The room was clean, the food was delicious, and the hosts were very kind and helpful. The location is peaceful, with a beautiful view of the Nile and birds singing in the morning – very relaxing. On the day we visited Abu Simbel, we had to leave early, and the hosts kindly offered to prepare a breakfast box for us to take. We really appreciated that gesture. Highly recommend this place for a calm and authentic stay in the Nubian village!

This was one of my favourite places in Egypt. After some time in big chaotic cities with their constant traffic, arriving on Elephantine Island I felt the stress levels drop dramatically. And the best part of the island is its western shore, where Mustafa's guesthouse is. It is so quiet and peaceful here, and you can view the holy silence of the sparsely populated desert on the other side of the Nile. Mustafa himself is such a calm, kind and relaxed man, it was always a pleasure to have his presence. He was ready to open his little shop whenever I needed something, and took me across the Nile, where I walked to St Simeon monastery and some Nubian villages - much better than Abu Simbel or Philae! There are enough temples already in Luxor - here it is better to take it easy like the Nubians. Mustafa also taught me some Nubian words and organized me breakfast in the neighbouring guesthouse. The room was very pretty with nice colors and aircon to blow the Aswan heat away. And needless to say, there is ABSOLUTE silence in the night. Cant recommend this place enough - go and see for yourself!

front desk staffs are super helpful. They helped us to arrange three days tours with our tour guide (Mohamed), he is so great, takes care of every single detail for us. We had wonderful trips. Also, Mohamed and front desk staff helped us to call Cairo International Airport where we lost our purse and confirmed the purse was found. We really appreciate their help. Even though cairo international airport refused to give our purse back when we returned back to cairo, we had great time to stay Citymax hotel, enjoy the touring with Mohamed. Thanks again!
