I was here with a school group. The cabins came in many configuration making it easy to manage group distribution. The rooms were quiet, although the noise from a generator was a little annoying. The cabins had a fridge and basic cooking facilities. Once you work out how turn you shower on, it has a good pressure and plenty of hot water.

Surrounded by the Göstling Alps, the family-run Alpenhotel Ensmann is located at the foot of the Hochkar Mountain in the southwestern part of Lower Austria.

An enchanting traditional alpine-style hotel, run by the same family since its opening. The hotel exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The breakfast offered a great selection, and the traditional dinners served at the in-house restaurant really added to the authentic alpine experience. One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying the brand new sauna, a fantastic way to unwind after a day of hiking. We also had tons of fun trying out the German-style bowling (kegelbahn) in the basement - a unique and entertaining addition to the hotel's amenities. The hotel is perfectly located for anyone looking to explore the stunning surrounding mountains. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a blend of charming tradition, warm hospitality, and modern comforts.

Great buffet breakfast, large room, everything perfectly clean, nice free sauna with a cooling balcony. We really enjoyed our short stay.

A lovely hotel with a good combination of character and modern. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. I also ate at the restaurant and the food was really very good and well priced.

A particularly beautiful and well appointed, renovated farmhouse with THE most comfortable beds EVER! Stayed here with the family as a base when rafting on the Salza, 40mins drive away. So glad we did…… 10/10
